Skrzyczne is the highest peak of the Silesian Beskids, standing at 1,257 meters above sea level. It is easily recognizable thanks to the 87-meter tall RTV transmission mast at the summit. At the top, you’ll also find a PTTK mountain shelter and a steel viewing platform offering breathtaking views. Several trails lead to the summit:

• The green trail (5 km), starting from Leśna Street in Szczyrk, which takes approximately 2 hours and 35 minutes to complete.
• The blue trail (4.9 km), starting from Uzdrowiskowa Street in Szczyrk, taking around 2 hours and 30 minutes.
• A two-section, four-person chairlift is also available for a more leisurely ascent.

The Sanctuary of Our Lady on the Hill is located just above our hotel and is one of the most significant religious sites in the Silesian Beskids. Following the 1894 apparition of the Virgin Mary, it has become a destination for pilgrims from all over the world. Adjacent to the sanctuary is the Grotto of Our Lady with a spring, adding to its spiritual and natural beauty.

Malinowska Skała (1,152 meters above sea level) is one of the most iconic attractions in Szczyrk. You can reach it via trails from Skrzyczne or the Salmopolska Pass. The highlight of this peak is the rock outcrop, made of quartz conglomerates, which offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area. Climbing to the top of the rock is a rewarding challenge for hikers.

The Skalite Ski Jumping Complex is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Szczyrk. For many years, it has hosted some of the most prestigious national and international ski jumping competitions. The history of the Skalite ski jumping hills dates back to the 1940s, making it a key part of Szczyrk’s sporting legacy.

St. Jacob Square, located in the heart of Szczyrk, is a popular meeting and relaxation spot. Adjacent to the square is the Żylica Riverside Promenade, which features a recreational bike path leading to Buczkowice and further towards Lake Żywieckie. Families with young children can enjoy attractions like mini-golf and a small ropes course, making it a perfect spot for fun and relaxation.

The Sanctuary of St. James the Apostle is the oldest and most valuable historical monument in Szczyrk. It is part of the Wooden Architecture Trail of the Silesian Voivodeship within the Beskid loop. The sanctuary, over 200 years old, stands as a testament to the region’s rich cultural and religious heritage.

Klimczok is the second-highest peak in the Silesian Beskids, standing at 1,117 meters above sea level, and marks the administrative boundary of Bielsko-Biała. At the summit, you’ll find the PTTK mountain shelter, providing a perfect resting spot for hikers. On the western slopes, just below the summit, are rock crevices and small caves. The largest cave, at 26 meters long, is said to have been the hideout of the legendary borderlands brigand Klimczok, according to local folklore.

The Szczyrk Mountain Resort is Poland’s largest and most modern year-round sports and entertainment complex, located on the slopes of Małe Skrzyczne (1,211 m) and Wierch Pośredni (1,000 m). In winter, the resort offers modern ski slopes, while in summer, a variety of exciting events are organized for both children and adults. The resort features a gondola and a scenic chairlift, providing fast and comfortable access to Zbójnicka Kopa (1,205 m), Małe Skrzyczne (1,211 m), and Hala Skrzyczeńska (1,000 m). It’s also a paradise for biking enthusiasts, with extensive trails for cycling adventures.

The Bator Art Gallery, also known as the Beskid Art Gallery, was founded in 1995 by Barbara and Mirosław Bator. It showcases works from over 130 outstanding artists from Poland and abroad, specializing in painting, ceramics, graphics, sculpture, and art glass.

Since 2011, the gallery has hosted “Magical Dreams”, the largest magical realism exhibition in Poland, held every two years. This exhibition attracts art experts and fans of magical, fantastic, and surrealist art from around the globe.
